About Emeline Legrand

Emeline Legrand studied medical biology at the Haute École Louvain en Hainaut (HELHa) in Fleurus.

In 2019, Emeline spent her final year work experience and completed her dissertation at the National Institute of Criminalistics and Criminology (INCC) in Brussels and at the Police Technique et Scientifique (PTS) in Mons. This work helped to optimise techniques used to collect touch DNA with swabs and the analytical comparison of two types of swabs used by the INCC and the PTS.

Emeline joined the E-BIOM team in 2020 as a laboratory technologist to manage routine SARS-CoV2 analyses in wastewater. She also helps the team when it comes to R&D and is responsible for managing the laboratory.
